Christmas Vacation

I may be MIA in the blogging department for the next week. Hubs and I are on our annual Christmas vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. Every year we spend the week after Christmas here with the in-laws. So here is my view for the next week...

I will be posting Christmas pictures soon. I am forewarning you though... there are a ton of them.

Christmas Drama

Our niece and nephew had their church Christmas drama a couple of weekends ago and I wanted to post these pictures so ya'll could see how cute they are.

Isn't this sweater precious? My MIL had just gotten it for him.

Hubs and I with Eli and Lanie after the play.

They can be so sweet to each other but they certainly have their disagreements.

Lanie was a Shepard. She remembered all her lines and did so well. She is such the little performer.

And is this not the cutest little lamb you've ever seen.
Of course he didn't have any speaking parts but he played in the manger the entire time.

White Weekend

This is what our road looked like on Saturday morning.

It started snowing Friday afternoon around 4pm and finally stopped later that night. I do not like snow. At all. I am glad that it melted pretty quickly and they aren't calling for more anytime soon. Call me a scrooge but I just like sunshine and warm weather.

Its Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

I am finally sharing my Christmas decorations with ya'll. I had to wait so long because until this past weekend I really didn't have anything out.

I didn't really have anything to put on our coffee table so I got this hurricane vase and filled it with small colored ornaments. I'm not thrilled with it.

This adorable rug greets you when you walk in the foyer.

I got this cute sign at The Southern Christmas Show. (We only had a half day on Friday because of snow)

These lil guys stand at the foyer.

I strung these ornaments with bells in them by some cute Christmas ribbon over our kitchen table.

Our bakers rack.

I just bought this snowman angel at TJ Maxx for only $6.00.
Our kitchen tree. It is decorated with gingerbread and kitchen ornaments.

Up close view.

And finally our main tree.
I have a few more things that I may share later this week.
We had our annual "Dirty Santa" party tonight so I will post more about it later.

Party # Uno

Last Thursday night we had our first Christmas party of the season. It was my work Christmas party. Our Principal provided all the meats and the teachers and staff were required to bring a side item or dessert. The party was held in our school library and we also played "Dirty Santa". It was a lot of fun

Here we are before leaving.
Our next party is this coming Saturday. We always have a big party for our friends at our house and also play "Dirty Santa".

Beauty Must Haves: Winter Edition

Do ya'll have products that you just LOVE?
I know that I do. There are some beauty must-haves that I have been using for years.
One of my absolute favorite product lines is Aussie Hair products. I have been using the Scrunch Spray for my naturally curly hair since the 7th grade. I should seriously own stock in the stuff by now. I also use their Moisture shampoo and conditioner. I just buy the big pump bottles. It smells wonderful and leaves my hair really soft without being weighed down. Then I finish everything off with their Mega hairspray. I love it because it doesn't make my hair stiff.

Another product that I have been using since I first started wearing makeup is Covergirl's eyeshadow in Shimmering Sands. It is the perfect color for anyone. It's shiny and the dark color isn't too dark. I have ventured out recently and started using some other colors every once in a while but this one will always be in my makeup bag.

I am not a huge perfume fan. I just don't like strong floral smells. But I do have a ton of body sprays from either Bath and Body Works or Victoria Secret. My favorite for fall and winter is the Vanilla Bean Noel from B&BW.

And my #1 Beauty Must-Have is the oh so original and ever dependable CHAPSTICK!
I am highly addicted. I always have at least 3 with me at all times. and my favorite is still the original in the black label. I have gotten better about using lip gloss instead and I will occasionally wear lip stick in the winter (to parties and dressy functions). So what are some of your favorite beauty products? Are there things that you have been using for years?

27 Wonderful Years

This is my final post about my birthday... I promise.
Hubs sent me flowers to work.

Aren't they beautiful?

My volleyball girls made me this poster to hang up in my classroom.

I had a wonderful birthday. It started off with Hubs giving me a card that he had made for me. It was so sweet. He knows that I treasure the cards my students make for me every year and he thought it would be cute to make me one himself. Hub's also sent me those beautiful flowers to work which made all the secretaries gush about how sweet he his. (They don't know him that well, lol. Just kidding, Hubs, you are a sweetie). All of my students made me cards too. I love going through and reading them. Some of them are so funny. For my birthday dinner Hubs took me to eat Mexican which I'm sure you all know by now is my absolute favorite.
Thank you Hub's for such a wonderful birthday!
