So Much to Be Thankful For...

Happy Thanksgiving!
I have so much to be thankful for in my life. Here is my list for 2009:

1- The most important thing in my life is my husband. I am so thankful for the 7 years we have been together and look forward to spending the rest of my life growing old with him.

2- My parents. They have been everything to me for the past 27 years. I still talk to and/or see them both everyday and cannot imagine it any other way.

3- My little brother. He has grown into such a wonderful man. Jeff and I have always been the best of friends and I would do anything for him.

4- My wonderful new sister-in-law. Jeff could not have done any better if we had hand picked him ourselves (we actually did pick her out, lol).

5- I am so thankful for my friends. I don't know what I would do without these amazing women and men in my life.

6- I am thankful for a job that I love. For being able to teach in the school and community that I grew up in. I am so thankful for all of my students.

7- I am thankful for my beautiful home.

8- Being born and raised in North Carolina. We have the best of both worlds with the mountains and the beach right here in our own state.

9- I am thankful for my curly hair. I know this sounds superficial but I love my curls. I used to hate them growing up but I have learned to appreciate it.

10- I am thankful for my extended family. I have such a large close knit family and I would not want it any other way.

11- I am thankful for my in-laws and then amazing family that I gained when I married Hubs. They are as wonderful as the man they raised that I love so much.

12- I am so thankful for all the men and women that have put their lives at risk to fight for our freedoms and our country.

13- I am thankful for the holiday season and the reason behind it. I love all the traditions that go a long with the holidays and being able to share them with the people that mean the most to me.

14- I am thankful for having food on my table.

15- I am thankful that life isnt always perfect and doesnt always turn out the way we planned for it to.

16- I am thankful that my husband and I still have our jobs and that the economy hasnt affected us too much.

17- I am thankful for the opportunity to coach at the high school level and the chance to work with these young ladies. I love having the chance to share my passion for sports and the self-confidence that they can provide.

18- I am thankful for a God that loves all His children.

What are you thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day?

Another bite on the block...

With New Moon coming out I have decided to pick up another vampire series. Has anyone else read the Vampire Diaries? If so, how do they compare to Twilight?

I have just started it and so far it is a lot like Twilight. I believe that these books were wrote before Twilight was. Although that doesn't diminish the love that I have for the Twilight saga.

Extremly Random Post

"No God, No Peace. Know God, Know Peace." This was on a church sign that I saw this morning. I thought it was cute and so true.

1- My brother-in-law is coming to stay with use this weekend to help Hubs work on our new deck. He has our niece and nephew this weekend so I will get to spend lots of quality time with them.

2- Tonight our football team is in the 2nd round of the State Playoffs playing Swain County. They are a slightly higher seed then us but the majority of the press has picked us to win. We are so proud of our boys! Go Jackets!!!!!

3- I plan on finishing the first and second book in the Vampire Diaries this weekend.
4- Hopefully I will get to see The Blind Side on Sunday and I may take Lanie and Eli to see Planet 51 (a cute new cartoon about aliens) tomorrow.
5- My eating habits have been HORRIBLE this week. I've had Mexican twice in the past three nights. So far today Ive had oatmeal, a bag of choc. chip cookies, and a chicken tender basket with fries. UGH! I haven't been to the YMCA this week either and will probably not make it there today.

Coming to a theater near you...

This week there are 2 new movies releasing that I cannot wait to see.

The Blindside with Sandra Bullock.

I have watched the previews for this movie and cried already.

And of course New Moon. I don't plan on seeing this movie this weekend just because I know the theaters will be packed. I will see it soon though. I think I can even talk Hubs into going to see it with me since he liked Twilight. BTW, definitely Team Jacob on this blog.

Winter Wonderland Wedding

My cousin got married on October 24th in the Bahamas. His parents hosted a reception for him and his new bride this weekend. It was at the country club and was so nice. There was so much food including some really good crab cakes. The club was decorated like a winter wonderland. There were snowflakes everywhere and each guest was given a snowflake ornament.

Kirsten and I. Jeff was at the SC game so Kirsten was riding solo that night.

One of the beautiful centerpieces.

A really bad picture of the other centerpieces.

Erin and I. Erin is due with her 1st child in April. She just found out last Thursday that she is having a little boy.

Congratulations Jessie and Shelly! We wish you the best in your marriage.

Go Gamecocks!

These pictures are alitte late but I have just gotten around to getting them all uploaded. These are from October when we went to the South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt game and the SC State Fair.
My brother and his wife, Kirsten.

Hubs and I.

We headed to the fair before the game.

Hubs and Jeff tasting the hottest hot sauce this man had for sale.

Yeah, its a little warm. After that we had to go buy bubble gum for them to cool their mouths off.

After lots of yummy food and walking around we decided to go back to the car and tailgate for a little while before the game started.

We put our face stickers on.

Took more pictures and then made our way to the stadium.

At our seats. I love Kirsten's face in this picture.

The Gamecocks warming up.
Cocky makes his entrance. Since it was Homecoming his dad was with him.

Go Carolina!
