Run Kelly Run

This is funny but true. I am not a runner. I've always been very athletic and active. I grew up playing three sports in high school. I coach. I love to walk and the elliptical and I have a love/hate relationship. But running has never been something I've tried. Until now...

This afternoon I will start the first workout of the popular Couch to 5K program.

I'm really excited about it. After looking at the specifics for today's workout I don't think I should have any problems with it but I'm still a little apprehensive. It's only going to get harder.

You can do it! I wasn't a runner either when I did it. AT ALL. But just take it day by day. You'll be amazed at how each week you can do more and more. And if you struggle with one week, just repeat it. I did that a few times :) GOOD LUCK!!

You can TOTALLY do it! If I can, and I hate running, anyone can! Take it day by day, I loved this program. The best thing I read was to take each day and then build with the next, don't overdo it even when you feel like you can. Good luck!

The first few times running are always the hardest! I've heard of the couch to 5k program, but have never tried it. Good luck!

I just started it too! I am done with the first week. I really like it. My friends that have done it said that repeating a week or day if needed works out really well.

You can definitely do this program! I just finished W8D2....and I even get up at 5:15 for my morning runs now. I was hesitant and nervous because I am a large runner, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE what this is doing for my health and my mind.

Good luck! Once you get into a routine you will find it's easier than you think. I usually need a friend to motivate me to get out of the house but once I'm out I love it! You will be addicted in no time!

Good luck! I used the couch 2 5K program and I loved it! I never thought I could run a 5k! I'm now using the Ease in to 10K plan to prepare for my first 8K and hope to run a half marathon next year. It is so hard sometimes to stick with but trust me...you might just get hooked on the running thing!

Way to go! I have a love/hate relationship with the elliptical too. I need to hit it tomorrow when I get off.

Good luck! I was just like you...I am really athletic, played volleyball and basketball all through high school, but thought I hated running. I took it up 3 years ago and have loved it so much that I recently did my first half marathon! Hope you love it too!
