Just can't wait to be on the road again

This summer my mother and I will be loading our suitcases into the car (her car because I refuse to put 6000+ miles on mine) and traveling from North Carolina to California.

I have a cousin that lives in Sacramento and we will be visiting him. Of course we plan on making several stops a long the way and I will be posting much more about them later. After spending a few days in beautiful California we will get back in the car (this time my cousin will be joining us) and traveling too....

VEGAS!!!!

I have another cousin that lives in Las Vegas so we will be going to visit her and her husband and their brand new twin girls. We will be staying on the strip for a few days before heading home (a different way) and making more fun stops. Momma and I are both so excited about this trip that we have already started planning it down to the places we will stop and eat.

Check back soon for a list of destinations on the way out and the way back. I am really going to need ya'lls help on places to see and things to do!

I grew up in Sacramento! (Now I live an hour away). Have fun on your roadtrip! Sounds like fun, even though it will be a loooooong drive. I've always wanted to do that though.

Wow! What a fun and exciting trip! I love road trips! The control freak in me wants to have everything planned out, but road trips always end up being spontaneous and random and so much fun. You guys are going to have a blast! I can't wait to follow along on your trip and see where you're going.

so jealous! that would be such a fun road trip. some of my friends did that last summer, drove to cali and back and took the top half of the US there and the bottom half back so they got to see SO much! i would love to be able to take a huge roadtrip...maybe one day, when $$ allows! ha

Good morning from Tokyo!

It's been a while, but I'm so thrilled to have caught up with you on this particular post. It sounds like you and your mother will be making a wonderful journey across America this summer. I wish y'all the best in planning out your trip.

My best to you and yours...

Warmly,

Elizabeth

Sounds like a fun trip so far! I honestly enjoyed our 14 hour road trip to Florida last year. I think the XM radio on the rental helped!
