Classroom Tour

This year I was moved to a new classroom. I had been in my previous room for 4 years and wasn't told until the week before school started that I would be moving. Needless to say, I had to go back in a few days earlier and clean out my old room and start moving stuff. I love my new room though. It's a little smaller then my old one but it has a separate office in it and is so much more convenient. So I thought that I would give you all the grand tour. Welcome to room 201.

Love my office.

Taken from the back of the room.

This is the back wall in my office. Lots of good storage space. Unfortunately my new classroom does not have half the closet and cabinets that my old one did.

I finished this bulletin board after I took the picture. It now says " Wild About Learning". Is it sad that I had to add animal print to my classroom?

Gotta show my school pride!

I'm all ready for a great new school year!!!!

Bridal Shower

Last Sunday my friend and co-worker Megan had her bridal shower. She is getting married at the beginning of October.
Me, Megan (the bride to be) and Lindsey. We all 3 teach together and I know that I wouldn't make it everyday without these ladies.

Megan and I. I am so happy for her that she has found a man that loves her and loves God.

Doing what we do best. She was actually eating very healthy food.

I can't wait for her wedding. She will be a wonderful wife.

Friday Fives

1) Something you are OCD about?

Washing my hands. I HAVE to wash my hands all the time. Maybe its because I work with kids all day.
2) Favorite Quote.
"You are what I never knew I always wanted". from Fools Rush In
(which is also my favorite movie of all time)

3) What is the fatherest you have been from home?
Canada

4) Do you have a fake or real Christmas tree?
Real. One of the best things about Christmas is going to pick out a real Christmas tree and bringing it home to decorate.
5) First Blog you ever read?
I can't remember which one was the very first one. I can't even really remember how I came across blogging.

Back to School, Back to School

If your wondering where I've been lately, this may explain a lot. School started back this past Wednesday and I have been sooooooo busy. I have been given the lovely title of Exceptional Children's department chair and while it doesn't increase my pay; it certainly increases my work load. Unless your an Exceptional Children's teacher yourself you probably have no idea the amount of paperwork that is involved in our job. My new title means that I am now over all the paperwork for my school. I made the mistake of wearing heels for the past 2 days (today I have on flip flops) which was not good with all the running I've had to do. My principal told me I should get a pair of roller skates.

Date Night

A few weekends ago Hubs and I planned a date night. We got dressed up and went to eat dinner and planned on going to a movie. After dinner we decided that neither one of us really wanted to go sit through a movie so we decided to go home and visit a coffee shop and walk around our small hometown.

Hubs with our frozen coffees.

We had to get dessert too.

Hubs started the date off perfectly with a single yellow rose.

After coffee and dessert we rented a movie and cuddled on the couch.

GNO

Sorry ladies. Teacher work days have started back and we've started volleyball games so I have just been really busy. I promise to be better as soon as I get back in the groove of work and coaching. Tuesday night momma. Kirsten, and I went to the $2.oo theater to see Sex and the City 2. I LOVED it! I really am going to have to go back and watch all the seasons.

I am hoping to watch The Last Song sometime this weekend. I read the book earlier and really liked it. I've always been a fan of Nicholas Sparks though.

Summer Deals

By now I am sure most of you know that shopping is one of my favorite hobbies. I espically love to go shopping at the end of seasons when all my favorite stores are putting stuff on clearance. Here are some of the deals I have gotten so far this summer...

Brown heels from Kohls for only $7.99.

Brown wedge sandals from New York and Company for only $7.99.

This duffel was not on clearance but I really needed a new one so I picked this one up at TJ Maxx for only $16.00.

I snagged this dress from Belk's for $20.00. It's hard to see the ruffle detail on the collar but it is really cute.

I found this dress at Kohls for $8.00. I had tried it on a long time ago and almost bought it at regular price. Don't you love when you wait and end up getting something that you already had your eye on for a much better price? I paired it with black leggings and wedge sandals that I already had. The dress was missing its belt but I have so many wide black belts that I just took one of the ones I already had.
Have you gotten any great deals lately?

Shoe Crush

I have a "crush" on these shoes:
They are the new Livestrong Lunar Glides.
They are so comfortable and light weight.
Plus their yellow which is our school's colors so they would be great coaching shoes.

Love Redeeming Love

I am almost finished with this book and I LOVE IT! So many of you had suggested that I read it so when my friend Megan gave it to me a week ago I couldn't wait to start it. In fact I even stopped in the middle of a book so I could start it. I can't wait to finish it. Are her other books as good as this one? If so, what is your favorite?

Still Here

Just wanted to let ya'll know that I am still around. I haven't been commenting as much or even reading as many blogs lately. I am trying to enjoy what is left of my summer break before school starts back in a few weeks. I'll try to get some pictures uploaded soon and get back to blogging.
