Top Two Tuesday

Yay for Top Two Tuesday. I am so excited about today's topic because it fit in perfectly with the post that I was planning for today.
TOP 2 DATES

This past Friday Hubs told me that he had a surprise date for me. I was so stinking excited because we really haven't had any time together in a while with my softball and his umpiring and church softball. I had been wanting to go to the Melting Pot again (I had been when I graduated from high school; so it had been over 10 years) so you can imagine my excitement when that is where he had made reservations at.

We sat in the cutest booth upstairs. We started our meal with a Cheddar Cheese appetizer. (And yes, I was the annoying guest that took pictures of all the courses just for blogging purposes). I liked the cheese but Hubs didnt really care for it. Then we both had a ceaser salad.

After that we ordered the Signature Selection which included salmon, chicken, fliet Mignon, terriyake steak, shrimp, and veggies.

Then on to my favorite part. DESSERT!!! We decided on the Smores chocolate and it was to-die-for. We fought over pound cake, graham crackers, rice krispies, marshmallows, strawberries, and bananas.

It was a perfect night. The food was great (all though I could just go there for dessert and leave off the meal) and I had a handsome man there with me.

Another perfect date would be beer and fried shrimp on the dock at the beach. Then some beach music and dancing. I'm a simple gal.

Yum, I love me some melting pot! We went for the first time last year for your anniversary and it was great. Not somewhere you could go all the time though!
