The end of the school year is fast approaching. This makes me a little sad and a lot happy. Since I teach Special Education I have my students for all 4 years of high school. They do take other classes but for the most part the spend the majority of the day with me. This means that I grow really close to them. I know that I have mentioned it before... but I LOVE my job! I cannot imagine doing anything else. This year I have 4 seniors that I will miss when their gone. But as all teachers know; one of the greatest things about our profession is SUMMER VACATION. Which is only 2 weeks away. So yesterday we decided that this occasion deserved a celebration.
After school myself along with my two teacher
assistants and two one-on-ones that I have in my classroom made our way to Hickory Tavern for an early dinner and drinks. Part of what makes my job so enjoyable is the amazing people that I get to work with on a daily basis.

ENJOY your summer, the best teachers definitely deserve an enjoyable and rewarding summer break!! I bet that will be hard to see your student go, yet nice to know that you helped them soo much! Happy Friday Eve :-)
