Staying Busy

I love being a teacher. The students, the hours, the holidays, and of course summer vacation. But I've had enough. I know that this sounds ridiculous but I am not meant to stay at home.

I get so bored! By the time May comes around I am so ready for the last day of school; but after a few weeks of being out I get tired of being at home and am ready to get back to work.

Any other teachers feel this way?

So to try and enjoy whats left of my summer vacation I will be spending my time at the beach again. This was an unscheduled trip but I am really looking forward to it. My mom and I will be going down tomorrow night after traveling to the coaches clinic. (I have to be in Greensboro tomorrow morning by 8am for the Coach's Clinic and then we are having dinner with all the coach's from my school before heading to the beach) My grandma, two aunts, and one of my cousins will be joining us Thursday morning. We will only be staying until Saturday morning since I have a wedding at 3pm on Sat. and then a graduation party Sat. night. Still it will be nice to go and relax on the beach.
Now, I just have to decide which books to take...

saw your ww post. Since it is harder to lose now, I'd take off about 3 pts a day. For example, when I started I was allowed 23 pts a day. Great at first, but after I lost 20 lbs, I only had 20 a day. And even if you work out and are able to eat more pts... don't eat them all. This will help lots!!! Good luck!

You and I are very different when it comes to getting bored at home. I would love to stay at home all the time, I think that is so funny how it just depends on the person. I have some friends who are like you they cannot stand to stay at home. It looks like you have had a a great summer so far, I hope you don't get too bored!

I could NOT stay at home either---I've been teaching for 8 years and every summer I've worked part time at an office supply store in my town. I love to be at home or by the pool, but I can't do it every day! I'm not necessarily ready for school to start, but I am ready to get back in the routine. Enjoy your time at the beach! Sounds wonderful!
